Viisnurk will change its name for Skano

Print versionEstonian timber and furniture company AS Viisnurk will change its name for Skano, which is brand name used by the company's furniture production arm now, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

Viisnurk's manager Andres Kivistik said that Viisnurk's activities are mainly focused in foreign markets where the current name is not well known. The other reason is that the name Viisnurk is for Estonians associated to ski production which the company does not do for 7 years already.
The change of the name to Skano Grupp AS will most likely be approved at the company's shareholders general meeting in June 19. The company will propose also not to allocate the net profit 2011 in the amount of 2 565 thousand euros for dividends and to transfer the profit to retained earnings of previous periods.
