Production of strong alcohol fell by a million litres in Estonia in 10 months

According to Estonian Alcohol Producers Association, 9 mln litres of strong alcohol was sold in the first ten months of the year 2010, which was by a million litres less than at the same time last year, LETA/National Broadcasting reports.

Strong alcohol producers also exported 3.7 mln litres of strong alcohol in ten months, which formed 29% of total production.

 

Estonian Alcohol Producers Association chairman Janek Kalvi said that illegal alcohol forms 19% of Estonian vodka market.
