Three companies from Estonia assigned to Swedish Business Awards 2009

In 2009 three Estonia-operating enterprises were assigned to Swedish Business Awards 2009: the fastest growing Swedish-owned company in Estonia was Netlead OÜ, the Innovator of the year in Estonia was Reklaamilahenduse OÜ, winner of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was ABB for its project – Cooperation within Development of Robotics with Tallinn University of Technology, as Estonian Free Press/LETA reports.

Based on the Jury's motivation, the company Netlead has shown outstanding business results in terms of turnover and profit, as well as sustainable growth, looking at the total number of employees during the last three years. The key success factor for their achievements has been the value added services.

 

Reklaamilahenduse was praised for its project – Old Estonian Costume Patterns into Modern Life. In the category of best innovator, the Jury has decided to recognize a truly unique and exceptional business idea. The winning company has managed to bring about positive change, using the inspirations of the past. The essence of innovation is the ability to create something new – a business idea strong enough to lead to productivity and increased wealth. Reklaamilahenduse business idea is to promote Estonian culture and identity in a contemporary and innovative way, and they have been very successful doing so.

 

According to the Jury, the winning company in the CSR category – ABB has a long record of contributing to CSR in Estonia. They are well-known for generous contributions to Estonian society and education. Besides being a multinational corporation, the company also has strong local presence and identity. By continued support to Estonian engineering, the winner has invested in Estonia's overall competence and future competitiveness.
