Speculations about the sale of Aripaev were voiced by investment entrepreneur Kalle Norberg, whose statement regarding the sale of Aripaev, according to Ritov, is based on Norberg's fantasies and imagination.
Eesti Paevaleht told, referring to Norberg, that Bonnier plans to sell Aripaev and and Lithuania's Verslo Zinios.
Ritov explains: "Last months correspondents of a portal Delfi, as well as newspapers Eesti Ekspress and Eesti Paevaleht asked me repeatedly about the sale of Aripaev. I explained thoroughly why the daily is not going to be sold, and the reasons why these speculations cannot be considered as real. Yesterday's signal from a journalist of Eesti Paevaleht just made me laugh".
Managing director of Bonnier Grupp Jonas Bonnier on September 22 (2009) told in his interview to Aripaev that the newspaper is not going to be sold, the same refers to other Bonier's East European products and subsidiaries.
At the same time, other media now make attempts to link Norberg's statements about the sale of Aripaev to recent sale of Latvian daily Diena.
DV.ee writes that the comparison is not logical since Aripaev showed the best financial results during the first eight months of the operation of all Bonnier Grupp East European subsidiaries. Aripaev has been successful during last 20 years; Diena, on the contrary, has always been a headache.
Comparing Aripaev to other Estonian newspapers, including Eesti Ekspress and Eesti Paevaleht, Aripaev manages with the current situation in good way. The amount of visitors on Aripaev-managed web pages is better than ever. Edditorial of Aripaev considers making takeovers itself, and plans really arrogant investments for 2010, Ritov said.
