Alcoholic beverage distribution company Amber Distribution Latvia posted EUR 123.424 mln in turnover last year, which is 8.2% more than in 2019, while the company's profit increased 8.5% to EUR 4.388 mln, according to Firmas.lv writes LETA.

Last year, the company's sales in Latvia accounted for 25.4% of the total market, including vodka - 25%, whiskey - 38%, sparkling wines - 67%, brandies - 52 %, liqueurs - 54%. Last year, the company's turnover amounted to a record EUR 123.424 mln.

In 2019, Amber Distribution Latvia's market share increased 5%, while the overall market shrank 1.5%. This was due to an increase in the excise tax in Latvia as well as changes in excise tax in Estonia, as a result of which cross-border trade decreased.

As reported, last September Amber Distribution Latvia was merged with Bravo, the owner of Latvijas Balzams stores. The reorganization was completed on March 6 this year.
