Poultry farm Kekava plans to build slaughterhouse for EUR 3.719 mln

Latvia’s leading poultry meat producer Putnu Fabrika Kekava (Kekava) plans to build a slaughterhouse for EUR 3.719 mln, according to information published on the internet website of the Procurement Supervision Bureau, referred LETA.

Jekabpils PMK company won the tender among three bidders.

The investment project should be completed by December 1 2019, attracting financing from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.

As reported, during its last fiscal year, which lasted from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018, Latvia’s leading poultry meat producer Putnu Fabrika Kekava (Kekava) turned over EUR 69.3 mln, up 11.6% from the previous year, and generated EUR 2.1 mln in audited profit, recovering from a loss incurred the year before.

Kekava Poultry Farm was founded in 1991, the company's share capital is EUR 18,928,084. Lithuania's Linas Agro Group holds 87% of the company's shares.
