Over 15 year-olds consumed 12.3 liters of alcohol in Lithuania in 2017

One Lithuanian resident, aged 15 or older, consumed 12.3 liters of legal alcohol on average in Lithuania last year, 0.9 liters down from 13.2 liters in 2016, the latest figures from the Statistics Lithuania show, cites LETA/BNS.

3.1 million deciliters of spirits, including vodka, whisky, brandy and similar beverages, were sold by retailers and catering enterprises last year, down 10.5% from 2016.


Sales of wine and fermented beverages stood at 4.2 million decaliters (–18.4%) and sales of beer dropped 8.2% to 23.2 million decaliters.
