All Media Baltics signs TV broadcast services agreement with Encompass

BC, Riga, 21.11.2017.Print version
Media group All Media Baltics (AM Baltics) has signed a long-term agreement with global technology company Encompass Digital Media (Encompass) on the delivery to the media group’s TV content, Laima Kristapsone, a representative of All Media Latvia (AM Larvia), told LETA.

As of November 1, Encompass has taken over MTG Broadcasting Services, which used to provide broadcast services to MTG. “This has ensured the continuity of AM Baltics channels’ broadcasts, and additionally, the new partner will also improve the TV channel’s technical quality,” the AM Latvia representative said.

Encompass will be providing a broad range of content delivery services to ensure the broadcast of AM Baltics-owned TV channels, including TV program monitoring and provision of various delivery formats for broadcasts on various platforms. The services will be provided by an Encompass division in Riga.

Encompass will ensure the broadcasting of all AM Baltics TV channels in all three Baltic states, including the broadcasting of TV3, TV6, 3+, LNT and Kanals2 in Latvia. The company will provide subtitling and dubbing of AM Baltics video and audio content and provide services to video on demand (VOD) platforms tvplay.lv and viaplay.lv.

In October, Swedish media holding Modern Times Group (MTG) sold its Baltic business to international assets manager Providence Equity Partners (Providence), and the new company, combining all its businesses in the Baltic states, was named All Media Baltics.
