Eesti Meedia buys 2 direct marketing companies
The main
reason for the transaction is the wish of Eesti
Meedia to enter the direct marketing market of Estonia. For that purpose Eesti Meedia will achieve a position of
single dominance in OU HTR Direct and
OU CMS Production, providers of media
agency services related to the field of direct marketing, Eesti Meedia said on Monday.
The transaction requires regulatory approval to take
effect, even though Eesti Meedia has not been active in the provision of media agency
services or direct marketing to date.
The core business of HTR Direct is development and
production of creative solutions for digital and physical direct marketing
materials and their preparation for mailing, strategic planning of digital and
physical direct mail and production of printed matter for mailing in Estonia, Latvia
and Lithuania.
The company that earned a profit of 81,600 euros on
sales of 1.5 million euros in 2016 employed one person and its labor costs
totaled 8,500 euros in that year.
The core business of CMS Production is mediation
of print services and developing of creative solutions. It finished 2016 with a
profit of 12,700 euros on sales of 191,300 euros, and had no employees.
Previously Eesti Meedia held stakes of 49%
in both companies. The owners of the rest of the shares were, via the
company Creative Media Service OU, Even Tuudeberg with
a holding of 26.5%, Kristian Hein with 12.8%, Oliver Vilms with 10.2% and Tiina Karjaharm with 1.5%.
News agency BNS belongs to Eesti Meedia.
