28.7% Latvian family physicians have so far agreements on use of e-health system

So far 28.7% of 378 family physicians have signed agreement on joining the Unified Electronic Information System of the Health Sector, or e-health system, informs LETA, according to the National Health Service's data.
In Riga Region, 77 family physicians have joined the e-health system, as
well as 24 family physicians' practices in Jelgava Region, 26 in Liepaja
Region, 21 practices in Daugavpils Region, 15 practices in Dobele Region, and
13 practices in Jekabpils Region and Valmiera Region each.
626 other medical specialists' practices have also signed agreements on
joining the e-health system, as well as 544 drugstores, 56 hospitals, and ten
outpatient clinics.
At the end of July, agreements had been signed with 370 family physicians,
618 other medical specialists, 540 drugstores, 56 hospitals and ten outpatient
clinics.
As reported, medical specialists, hospitals and drugstores may voluntary
join the e-health system until September 1.
