City government signs agreement with planner of Tallinn Hospital

The Tallinn city government has concluded a contract worth 220,000 euros with the companies OU Conarte and OU Industrius to draw up the volumetric and spatial plan of the would-be Tallinn Hospital, informs LETA/BNS.

Tallinn Hospital is a project lasting several years that is planned to be carried out as a collaboration between Tallinn and the government, Tallinn Deputy Mayor Merike Martinson said in a press release.

 

"Tallinn Hospital would bring together all of active therapy from the East Tallinn and West Tallinn central hospitals, as well as rehabilitation therapy. We wish Tallinn Hospital to emerge as an ideal and family focused center of medical services for all Tallinners," Martinson said.

 

The tender to perform the planning work for the plots situated at Narva maantee 129 and 129b was won in June by a joint offer by the companies OU Conarte and OU Industrius priced at 220,800 euros inclusive of VAT. The work must be completed in 20 calendar months.


The goal of the volumetric and spatial plan of Tallinn Hospital is to provides the general outline of the hospital complex to be laid out as a campus consisting of buildings up to six stories high, as well as access roads and other infrastructure.

 

The size of the area to be covered by the plan is 27.5 hectares.
