Lithuanian magazine Veidas to stop print edition

Print versionThe Lithuanian weekly magazine Veidas is set to stop its print edition and plans to develop its website, informs LETA/BNS.

The decision has been taken by shareholders of Veido Periodikos Leidykla, the publisher of the magazine, Andrius Valacka, the company's acting
CEO, said on Tuesday.
"With readers increasingly choosing digital media, strong competition
with news portals makes the print edition of the weekly unviable. Therefore, it
is planned to develop the Veidas portal in the future," he said in a press
release.
Veido Periodikos Leidykla's shareholders are Alga, Eika,
Biosantara, Grigiskes, Enerstenos Grupe, BOD Group, Danas Tvarijonavicius and Algimantas
Sindeikis.
