First chanterelles of the season selling at EUR 8 a liter at Riga Central Market

Print versionThe first chanterelles of the season have arrived at the Riga Central Market, with a liter of the mushrooms selling at EUR 8, the market’s representative Ivars Jakovels told LETA.

In his words, vendors at the Riga Central Market are also selling locally grown potatoes of the season for EUR 0.5-0.9 per kilo. A 200-gram box of wild strawberries, meanwhile, can be bought for EUR 3, and a 100-gram box for EUR 2.
Last year, the first chanterelles appeared at the Central Market on June 20, selling at EUR 15 per liter.
