BC, Tallinn, 18.05.2017.Print version
AS Oilseeds Trade, Estonian seller of grain, oil crops, fertilizers and agricultural equipment, has posted a 13 percent decrease year over year in sales revenue to 31.5 mln euros and a decrease in net profit to 572,000 euros for 2016б reports LETA/BNS.

The decrease in sales revenue was mostly caused by a drop in the world market prices of grain products as well as a reduction in the volume traded caused by the situation on the Estonian domestic market, the company's annual report said.

In 2016, the group employed 48 people, including board members, which was equal to the number of employees working for the company the year before. Labor costs in 2016 amounted to 1.3 mln euros.

This year, the company plans to continue in the same fields of activity by increasing capacity and market shares, finding new suppliers and increasing competitiveness, as well as increasing the amount of arable land owned by the company.

AS Oilseeds Trade is an Estonian agricultural group founded in 2005. It is owned by businessmen Meelis Fink and Veikko Vahar.
