Loss to Dienas Bizness publisher grows fourfold in 2016

Latvia’s Dienas Bizness publisher of business daily last year generated EUR 1.51 mln in sales, up 3.8% from 2015, while its loss grew fourfold to EUR 115,559, according to Firmas.lv business database reported LETA/BNS.

The company’s management said that in 2017 the company’s revenues will exceed expenditure, therefore the positive cash flow will solve the liquidity problems.


The management also said that the company’s future perspective is closely related with the overall business environment in Latvia, and it should be considered when developing and strengthening the existing product portfolio.


In 2015 Dienas Bizness generated EUR 1.445 mln in sales and sustained loss worth EUR 28,968.


Dienas Bizness company publishes Dienas Bizness business daily, runs internet portals db.lv and rus.db.lv, published specialized handbooks and business conferences.


Dienas Bizness was founded in 1993 and has a share capital of EUR 18,000. The company’s sole owner is SM Investicijas that belongs to Janis Marsans.
