Eesti Post announces competition for position of CEO

The supervisory board of AS Eesti Post, the Estonian postal services and logistics company operating under the Omniva brand, has announced a public competition to fill the position of chairman of the executive board AS Eesti Post, informs LETA/BNS.

The contract of the incumbent CEO, Aavo Karmas, expires on April 30.


"Eesti Post is an important information and logistics enterprise for all of us. It has to ensure the timely delivery of letters and newspapers to recipients even in the most remote villages, as well as make sure that things ordered from e-stores are delivered fast and efficiently. E-commerce is a fast developing area all over the world, which is why the importance of this enterprise is growing in Estonian economy," Urve Palo, minister of entrepreneurship and information technology, said.


The minister said she believes that managing an enterprise such as Eesti Post is a worthy challenge for Estonian top-level managers and she expects a tight competition as a result.

The deadline for submitting CVs is Jan. 29, 2017.


A company fully owned by the government of Estonia, AS Eesti Post employs 2,400 people in the Baltic countries and its sales in 2015 totaled 75.6 mln euros.
