Lithuania's Apranga group raises retail sales by 7.2%

Apranga, the largest Baltic clothing retailer controlled by MG Baltic concern, increased its retail turnover (including VAT) by 7.2%, to 113.2 mln euros, in the January-July period of 2016 y-o-y, said Rimantas Perveneckas Apranga Group Director General via Nasdaq Vilnius stock excahnge.

In July, the chain's retail turnover climbed by 6.8% to 18.9 mln euros, as compared with July of 2015.


Over the first seven months of this year, the group's retail turnover grew by 4.4% in Lithuania, by 5.1% in Latvia and by 21.6% in Estonia y-o-y.


The group currently operates 177 stores in the Baltic states with total area of 81,000 square meters. As compared with the same period last year, the area swelled by 5.2%.


Apranga's shares are quoted on the blue-chip Main List of the stock exchange.
