Familon to relocate mattress production from Finland to Estonia

Print versionThe mattress manufacturer Familon has decided to shut down its plant at Heinola, Finland and to relocate its operations to Estonia, informs LETA/BNS.

Thirty-eight people will be made redundant in Finland as a result.
The Familon product development, marketing and sales operations will remain in Finland.
The Finnish textile and bedding manufacturer Finlayson sold Familon to the Estonian company Trading House Eesti, a subsidiary of Trading House Scandinavia group, in 2014.
In 2015, Familon moved its pillow and blanket manufacturing operations to Estonia from Kankaanpaa, Finland.
