Beer output in Latvia drops by 17.8% in 4 months

In the first four months of 2016, beer production in Latvia dropped by 17.8% year-on-year to 2.204 million decaliters, the Excise Goods Administration of the Latvian State Revenue Service (VID) reported LETA.

Beer imports in the first four months of this year were down 2.68% from the respective period in 2015 to 2,601,705 decaliters.

 

Altogether 2,168,978 decaliters of beer were released for consumption in Latvia in January-April this year, which was a 7.27% reduction from the same period in 2015.

 

In the first four months of 2016, Latvia exported 311,300 decaliters of beer, which was an 18.23% decline from January-April 2015.

 

A total of 8.564 million decaliters of beer was produced in Latvia in 2015, which is a 12% reduction from 2014.
