BillerudKorsnas Latvia, one of Latvia’s leading forest management companies, closed 2015 with EUR 46.36 million in turnover, which was a 25% reduction against a year before when the company showed EUR 61.88 million, informs LETA, according to information from Firmas.lv

The company’s profit shrank three times, to EUR 312,439 last year from EUR 943,404 in 2014.

Explaining the weakening of the performance results, the company’s management said that deliveries of pulpwood to related enterprises fell 25% last year, which led to a 15.83% reduction in logging.

A 3% drop in products’ purchasing price also left a negative impact on the company’s 2015 results.

Last year, BillerudKorsnas Latvia sold 765,000 cubic meters of products, as compared to 1.04 million cubic meters in 2014. The company expects that figure to remain unchanged this year.

BillerudKorsnas Latvia, registered in 1993, has EUR 7,995,906 share capital and employs 103 people.

BillerudKorsnas Latvia belongs to Sweden’s BillerudKorsnas AB.
