Turnover of Latvia's Lauma Fabrics drops 24% in 2015

Turnover of Latvia's Lauma Fabrics textile company in 2015 was EUR 29.2 million, down 24% from a year ago, informs LETA, according to Firmas.lv business database.

The company's sales in 2014 reached EUR 38.7 million.

 

Lauma Fabrics last year earned EUR 1.541 million in profit, which is by 50.2% higher from 2014. Last year's profit will be paid out in dividends.

 

The company's management reported that EUR 1.76 million were invested in new equipment and technologies.

 

Lauma Fabrics plans to generate EUR 32.73 million in turnover this year. The planned investments will amount to EUR 806,000.

 

The company's main markets are Belarus, the Baltic states, Ukraine, Poland, Russia and France.

 

Lauma Fabrics last year employed 422 people compared to 530 employees in 2014.

 

Lauma Fabrics makes lace, elastic knitted fabric, ribbons, etc. The company was founded in 2005. Lauma Fabrics belongs to Myrtyle Ventures Limited, a company registered in Cyprus.
