Valmiermuizas Alus brewery increased turnover by 13% in 2015, but profit fell

The joint-stock Valmiermuizas Alus brewery achieved EUR 3.84 million in turnover in 2015, which was 13% more than the previous year, when the company achieved EUR 3.39 million in turnover, the company's co-owner Aigars Rungis informed LETA.

Meanwhile, according to the company's audited financial report, the company posted EUR 265,000 in profit last year, which was by 14% less than in 2014, when the company poster EUR 310,162 in profit.

 

Overall, the company invested EUR 1.2 million into its development last year.

 

Valmiermuizas Alus also increase sales by six% last year to 1.96 million liters of beer. The company also saw a 38% increase in exports, mostly to Estonia, Lithuania, Sweden and Switzerland.

 

Valmiermuizas Alus currently takes about one% of the Latvian beer market.
