Stockmann's revenue in Baltics reduced by 7.2% in Q1

The revenue of the Finnish retailer Stockmann from its department stores in Estonia and Latvia in the first quarter of 2016 was 19.2 million euros, down by 7.2% compared to the same period last year, informs LETA/BNS.

The retail market in the Baltic countries was relatively stable, though competition has increased particularly in Estonia, the management said in the interim report. In continuing areas of activity, the Baltic revenue decreased by 5.3%.

 

The group's total revenue in the first quarter was 273.1 million euros compared to 345.8 million euros a year ago.

 

The company made a net loss of 31.6 million euros, an improvement of 15.6 million euros from the same period of 2015.
