Print versionSales of organic farming products in Estonia are estimated to have totaled 10.5 million euros in 2014, it appears from figures made available by the Institute of Economic Research, cites LETA/BNS.

Plant produce accounted for 7.7 million euros and animal products, for 2.8 million euros of the total.
The assortment of domestic organic foods has in the last three years comprised around 1,200 items.
The difference in retail prices of organic food and conventional food depends on individual products, but on the whole the gap has widened in the last five years.
