Sakret business in Lithuania proof to good economic cooperation with Latvia
Semanis and Jelena Markune, the head of the Representative Office of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency in Lithuania, visited the Sakret plant in Kedainiai, central Lithuania, on Wednesday.
The Latvian ambassador praised successful Sakret operations in the Lithuanian market which account for a large share of the Latvian investments in the neighboring country. Sakret business in Lithuania also provides more jobs and the products are sold in Lithuania and other countries, he said.
The Sakret plant in Lithuania, which is the largest production plant of dry construction mixes in the Baltics, was opened in August 2008. The investments in the plant with the annual output of 250,000 tons totalled EUR 8 million. Two-thirds of the output are sold in Lithuania and the rest is exported.
