Elisa biggest winner in cellphone number portability in Estonia

Print versionEesti Telekom, which runs its mobile telecommunication service under the EMT trade mark, lost the biggest number of mobile telephone numbers while Elisa Eesti saw the most numbers move into its network in 2015, the Technical Surveillance Authority said BNS.

During the year, Eesti Telekom lost 1,394 telephone numbers and OU Top Connect one number. Elisa Eestilinked 1,367 and Tele2 Eesti 28 new phone numbers up to their network.
In landline telephony, Eesti Telekom lost 1,634 numbers, Gonetwork 2,011 numbers and Linxtelecom Estonia125 numbers. Starman topped the list of gainers with 923 numbers migrating into its network, followed byElisa Eesti with 634, STV with 622 and Top Connect with 246 numbers.
Altogether the users of 79,227 telephone numbers, including of 73,369 mobile telephone numbers and 5,658 landline telephone numbers, used the possibility of to move to the network of a different service provider with their existing telephone number last year.
