LNT turnover up, losses down in 2014

The Latvijas Neatkariga Televizija (LNT) television company turned over EUR 8.48 million last year, which is 4% more than in 2013, when the company turned over EUR 8.17 million, reports LETA, according to Firmas.lv information.

Meanwhile, the company's losses reduced 1.6 times to EUR 1.7 million last year. In 2013, the company suffered EUR 2.75 million in losses.

 

According to LNT's management report, the most popular programs on LNT television channel were "Lauku seta", "Laternu stunda", and "Lideru debates". LNT was the fourth most popular television channel in Latvia last year.

 

The company is planning to return to profit, which could be facilitated by the gradual recovery of the Latvian economy and stabilization of the advertising market.

 

LNT is a commercial television that offers Latvian advertisers TV ad spots and other advertising services on LNT, TV5, and Channel 2.

 

In 2012, Sweden-based MTG became the sole owner of LNT.
