Hanzas maiznicas turnover decreased by 3% in 2014

The joint-stock baked goods company Hanzas maiznicas posted a 3% reduction in 2014 turnover, at the same time registering a threefold increase in profit, reports LETA, according to Firmas.lv information.

The company's turnover in 2014 was EUR 20.80 million, as compared with EUR 21.61 million in the previous year. Meanwhile, the company's profit was EUR 973,276, as compared with EUR 295,031 one year ago.

 

Hanzas maiznicas management report says that the profit was distributed in dividends to shareholders in the amount of EUR 118,000. The report also indicates that regardless of the drop in turnover, the company managed to maintain leader positions in the Latvian bread market, as well as increase its export volume by 30.7%. The largest export partners are Estonia, Lithuania, and Finland.

 

Last year, Hanzas maiznicas invested EUR 1.48 million in reconstruction of the company's premises and installation of new equipment.

 

Hanzas maiznicas was founded in 1998. The company's share capital is EUR 1.56 million.


Following a merger in January 2015, the company's former owner Vaasan Group Oy (Vaasan) became part of the Swedish bakery supplier Lantmannen ek. for (Lantmannen).
