Mobile communications operator Latvijas Mobilais telefons (LMT) closed 2014 with EUR 144 million in turnover – 10% decrease on 2013 when the company turned over EUR 161 million, reports LETA, according to Firmas.lv data.

LMT's profit in 2014 amounted to EUR 19.6 million – about 14% down from 2013.

According to the company's management report, the reduction in turnover is due to the effect of tariffs regulating the telecommunications industry.

In 2015, LMT is planning to increase turnover by 2% to 7%, whereas the company's profit is projected to grow 1% to 5%.

49% of LMT shares belong to the telecommunications group TeliaSonera, 23% to Lattelecom, 23% to the Latvian State Radio and Television center, 5% to the state of Latvia. LMT was founded in 1992.
