LMT's turnover decreases, profit increases in Q1

The mobile communications operator Latvijas Mobilais Telefons (LMT) turned over EUR 38 million in the first quarter of the year 2015, which is 7% less than in the respective period last year, reports LETA.

Meanwhile, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased 12%, according to the company's CEO Juris Binde.

 

LMT's net profit in the first quarter reached EUR 4.8 million.

 

The company's EBITDA in the first quarter last year reached EUR 12 million, turnover - EUR 41 million.

 

In the first quarter of this year, the number of LMT clients lightly increased, reaching 1,110,000. In the firs quarter of last year, the company had 1,079,570 clients.

 

As reported, LMT concluded 2014 with turnover of EUR 161.3 million, which is 6% less than in 2013, when the company operated with turnover of EUR 172 million. The company's net profit in 2014 reached EUR 22 million, which is about 14% less than in 2013, when the company earned EUR 25.6 million.

 

In 2015, LMT hopes to increase its turnover by 2-7%, and profit by 1-5%. Capital investment forecast in 2015 is the same as in 2014 - about EUR 28 million.
