21 permits issued for summer terraces/beer gardens in Riga

Print versionThe Riga City Council has issued a total of 21 permits for spring/summer season business activities – opening of summer terraces/cafes in Riga, the Council's spokesman Ugis Vidauskis told LETA.

Out of a total of 103 applications, the municipality has reviewed 78 so far. The Council expects to finish reviewing them by Wednesday, Vidauskis says.
For comparison – in 2013, the municipality received and reviewed only 23 applications.
The spring/summer season begins on April 1 and ends on October 31.
