BC, Riga, 13.03.2015.Print version
Hill+Knowlton Strategies, a part of the WPP group of companies, closes down its fully-owned subsidiaries in Riga, Latvia and Tallinn, Estonia.

Following a commercial review of the market and notwithstanding strong performance by the local management teams, Hill+Knowlton Strategies today ceases to trade as wholly owned subsidiaries in Latvia and Estonia.

Central and Eastern Europe remains important to Hill+Knowlton Strategies and the geographic reach is almost unparalleled with a network of fully owned and affiliate agencies. A revitalized affiliate programme has been put in motion to ensure that clients in markets without a fully-owned Hill+Knowlton Strategies operation continue to receive excellent client service.

“I wish to express my gratitude to our leaders and teams in Latvia and Estonia who have done a very good job in the recent years for their loyalty, professional acumen and persistent commitment to clients”, Lars Erik Grønntun, Chairman and CEO of H+K Strategies EMEA, said.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ strategy remains focused on growth markets and operations to take advantage of economies of scale by serving clients internationally and in “hub” markets. In Central and Eastern Europe, Hill+Knowlton Strategies concentrate on, among others, Poland and Russia, while also reinforcing its commitment to affiliate agencies in other markets, the Baltic countries included.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Inc. is a leading international communications consultancy, providing services to local, multinational and global clients. The firm is headquartered in New York, with 90 offices in 52 countries, as well as an extensive associate network.
