Lithuania's National Paying Agency (NMA) will start disbursing temporary assistance funds to milk producers who incurred losses due to dairy product embargo imposed by the Russian Federation, reports LETA/ELTA.
EUR 22.7 million is expected to be paid out in 10-11 February.
Temporary assistance for milk calculated by the Agricultural Information and Rural Business Centre (ZUIKVC) will reach managers of holdings or partners that were registered in the ZUIKVC register by 30 November 2014, who in August-November 2014 sold milk to buyers approved by the NMA.
Assistance funds are provided from the European Union and the Republic of Lithuania budgets and reach EUR 43.76 per tonne.
