Estonian Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas said on Wednesday at the meeting with Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang in Belgrade that Estonia is waiting for the Chinese market to really open for Estonian goods, especially for agricultural products, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

"Your confirmation that the Chinese market doors are open for Estonian goods makes Estonian producers rejoice," said Rõivas.

He believes that China will rapidly implement procedures that currently still obstruct the real trade between Estonia and China in the field of agriculture and Estonian companies get valid certificates for the export of production to China.

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said that China's respective authorities are actively engaged in this issue.

Rõivas expressed appreciation for the New Silk Road Initiative, which aims for closer integration of Asian and European markets.

"I believe that this project has the potential to bring China and Europe closer together and give a boost to the economy of both," he said.
