Argentina interested in signing bilateral agreement in culture, education and sports

Argentina has expressed interest in signing a bilateral agreement between the governments of Latvia and Argentina in culture, education, and sports, in order to facilitate and extend contacts in these fields, the Foreign Affairs Ministry informed LETA.

Latvian Ambassador Imants Liegis met with Foreign Policy Undersecretary at the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Maria Carolina Perez Colman to inform her about the priorities of Latvia's presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU), as well as matters concerning Ukraine, Russia, and the United Nations.

 

Liegis invited Colman to a visit in Latvia in order to discuss bilateral matters, especially in regard to economic cooperation, as well as the association agreement between the EU and "Mercosur" (common market between Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay).

 

Argentina expressed interest in signing a bilateral agreement between the governments of Latvia and Argentina in culture, education, and sports in order to facilitate and extend contacts in these fields.

 

Liegis is an ambassador to Hungary, Croatia, Montenegro, and Slovenia. He resides in Budapest.
