Sudraba's party in Latvia spent 99% election campaign spending limit

According to contracts signed, Inguna Sudraba's For Latvia From the Heart party has spent 99% of the spending limit set for political campaigns, the Corruption Prevention Bureau informed LETA.
Latest information indicates that Greens and Farmers' Union has reached 94% of the limit, followed by Unity – 92%, Harmony – 78%, United for Latvia – 58%.
The remaining parties have spent less than 50% of the allowed limit.
The official election campaigning period is from June 7 to October 4. Parties cannot exceed the spending limit of EUR 422,997 on their pre-election campaigns.
