The biggest transaction in the history of the Lithuanian legal services market was signed by Eugenija Sutkienė and Gintautas Bartkus, Managing Partners of Tark Grunte Sutkiene and Baltic Legal Solutions Lithuania, as well as other partners.

This arrangement almost doubles the size of Tark Grunte Sutkiene Vilnius office. More than 90 law professionals will work in Lithuania. The number of lawyers will exceed 150 in all the three Baltic States.

This will be one of the largest corporate law firms in the Baltic countries. The merging legal teams worked on M&A deals worth LTL 10 billion and advised clients on financing agreements with the value of LTL 20 billion in 2010 – 2014. Currently, they are handling over 1,000 lawsuits with the total value of LTL 7 billion.

E. Sutkienė has been elected as Managing Partner and Gintautas Bartkus– as Chairman of the Board of Tark Grunte Sutkiene.

Other partners of Baltic Legal Solutions Lithuania have become partners in Tark Grunte Sutkiene. Among them there is a best-known Lithuanian legal theorist and legal scientist Prof. Habil. Dr. Valentinas Mikelėnas, an expert in the European Union and energy law Gytis Kaminskas, an expert in real estate and construction law Dainius Stasiulis and others.

According to E. Sutkiene, this step has been made in pursuing the long-term development strategies of both the firms.

She has assured that the merger of the teams is being carried out in accordance with the highest standards of professional ethics, after any potential conflicts of interest have been solved.

G. Bartkushas said that the unification of the teams representing two internationally recognized law firms creates new opportunities for clients.

The expanded team of Tark Grunte Sutkienewill have the strongest litigation, energy, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, competition, and other practice groups in the Baltic States.

The entire process is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
