The outstanding issues discussed at the meeting involved security concerns and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

At the meeting between Estonian diplomats and the Riigikogu Committee on European Union Affairs and the Riigikogu Committee on Foreign Affairs, the chairmen of the two committees, Kalle Palling and Marko Mihkelson gave overviews of the work in Parliamentary committees.

Estonian diplomats raised a number of questions at the meeting regarding Estonia’s security situation, discussing inclusion of Estonian expatriate communities, Estonia’s capacity to react to special situations and laws regarding national defence, cyber defence and development of this field, as well as the trade war between Russia and the EU, assistance provided to Ukraine and finding new exports markets for Estonian enterprises.
