22,522 criminal acts committed in Estonia in 2014

According to the crime barometer compiled by the Ministry of Justice, the crime rate in Estonia was in a slight decline from January to July 2014 , writes LETA/National Broadcasting.
A total of 22,522 criminal acts were committed, 2% less than during the same period of time last year.
The number of registered crimes grew in 75 categories in a year and decreased in 101 categories, remaining the same in the year-on-year comparison in 224 types of crime.
The number of traffic crimes, cases of administration of bodily harm and the number of robberies shrank (by 9%, 4% and by 3%, respectively).
