President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite has signed a decree by which, based on the Constitution and following Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius' proposal, Minister of Energy Jaroslav Neverovich is going to be dismissed on 25 August, reports LETA/Nozare.lv.

Minister of Communications Rimantas Sinkevicius has been appointed as Acting Minister of Energy until 7 September. Meanwhile, from 8 September until a new minister is appointed, Minister of Economy Evaldas Gustas will also serve as Acting Minister of Energy.

As reported, the prime minister submitted a request to dismiss Neverovich after the latter disregarded the prime minister's instructions and appointed Renata Cytacka, of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania, as Deputy Minister of Energy.

The political council of the Coalition will hold a meeting next week.
