The five national strategic aims will be followed when distributing European Union means: high-quality, accessible education that takes into consideration the needs of the student and the society; high employment level and high-quality work life; knowledge-extensive and internationally competitive economy; clean and diversified natural environment; sustainable connections and transport possibilities that satisfy the needs of people and support businesses. Improving the state's administrative ability will also be financed.

The rural life development plan focuses on investments in agricultural production, rural entrepreneurship and environmental protection.

Next, consultations with partners and the European Commission take place regarding the proposals to use structural means. The final approval of the use of the structural means will be given by the government in autumn.
