Slesers not planning on returning to politics at the moment in Latvia
Print version
One of Slesers' former colleagues and member of the now liquidated Latvia's First Party/Latvia's Way, Riga Vice Mayor Andris Ameriks (Honor to Serve Riga), has previously said that he has growing confidence that Slesers intends to establish his own party in the future.
Slesers said that he cannot comment this matter, because it was not he who said this. He said that he has other priorities at the moment – family and his business ventures. Slesers said that he has put his family first, and he is happy to be spending more time with his family.
''Politics cannot do without politicians,'' said Slesers. Asked whether he does not plan on returning to politics when the local government elections near, he said ''not to worry'', because if he decides to reenter politics, he will make the announcement himself.
