WFFL President Ints Rupners also pointed out to the necessity to allow persons to register as dual citizens once again in Latvia, because this would be especially important to improve the country's economic situation, writes LETA.

Rupners also explained that Russian and South American citizens of Latvian ethnicity who still have links to Latvia, but have never had citizenship, should be given the opportunity to become citizens.

Dombrovskis answered that this topic has been discussed with the Latvian community in Brazil, however, he pointed out that there are complicated legal matters that must first be addressed to solve this situation.
