Up to 100 people allowed to gather at indoor events, up to 300 at outdoor events in Latvia

Until the end of June 2020, up to 100 people will be allowed to gather at indoor events and up to 300 at outdoor events in Latvia, according to the epidemiological safety regulations for curbing the spread of Covid-19, drafted by the Health Ministry.

When hosting outdoor events with up to 300 participants, organizers will have to ensure at least four square meters of floor space per person, according to the draft regulations which the government is due to adopt this Tuesday, June 9. 


From July 1 to 31, up to 100 people will be allowed to attend indoor events held at venues smaller than 1,000 square meters. Indoor events with up to 500 participants will be allowed at venues larger than 1,000 square meters and organizers will have to ensure that the event only uses up to 50 percent of the venue's capacity. Also, at least four square meters of floor space will have to be ensured for each participant. 


From July 1 to 31, outdoor events will be allowed to gather up to 1,000 participants, with organizers required to provide  at least four square meters per person at the venue.


From August 1 to 31, up to 250 people will be allowed to attend indoor events held at venues smaller than 1,000 square meters.  Indoor events with up to 500 participants will be allowed at venues larger than 1,000 square meters and organizers will have to ensure that the event only uses up to 50 percent of the venue's capacity. Also, at least four square meters of floor space will have to be ensured for each participant.
