The police are still searching for the man who is suspected of shooting another man in central Tallinn's Hotel Metropol on Thursday afternoon, reports LETA/BNS.

The possible shooter is a man in his 50s who is wearing gray pants, a black jacket and a dark hat, spokespeople for the Police and Border Guard said. "At present we think that the suspects and the victim might know each other. Currently there is no reason to believe that other people could be in danger in connection with the incident," a spokesman for the North prefecture Veiko Randlaine said.

According to Randlaine the police always react with great force with incidents connected to a weapon and they keep doing everything in their power to catch the suspects.

A shooting took place at Hotel Meriton in central Tallinn on Thursday at around 2 p.m. and as a result a 45-year-old man man was injured in the leg. The man is not in a critical condition and he was taken to hospital.

A criminal investigation has been launched, and is being carried out by the North prefecture's criminal bureau and led by the North district prosecutor's office.
