Salaries for PM, ministers and heads of Saeima committees to be raised in 2016

The Saeima Budget and Finance (Taxation) Committee in Latvia on November 27th agreed to increase salaries for ministers, the heads of Saeima groups and committees, parliamentary secretaries, as well as for the prime minister, informs LETA/BNS.
As the head of the committee Karlis Sadurskis (Unity) explained, the prime minister's salary will be placed on a similar level to what the Saeima speaker makes, ministers will make similar salaries to what Saeima deputy speakers make, while the head of Saeima committees and Saeima groups will make similar salaries to what parliamentary secretaries make.
This bill has been included in next year's budget project, which Saeima will review in the final reading on November 30.
