Latvian president establishes expert commission for improvement of legal environment

Print versionLatvian President Raimonds Vejonis has issued a decree on establishment of an expert commission for improvement of legal environment, according to an article in the government's official newspaper Latvijas Vestnesis, writes LETA.

According to the decree, the aim of the commission is to assist the president with regard to the implementation of constitutional functions of the president, and facilitation of democratic traditions in the country.
Aivars Endzins is the commission's head, but politologists Ivars Ijabs and Valts Kalnins, Doctor of Law Anita Rodina, and Doctor of Econommics Inga Vilka – the commission's members.
