Lithuanian government to submit over 450 draft laws for Seimas consideration

The Lithuanian Government will submit over 450 draft laws for the consideration of Parliament during the autumn session 2015, reports LETA/ELTA.

Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius said that the main projects are related to the new social model, its aim is to create a common, economically justified and balanced system that would increase employment opportunities, improve labour relations and promote investments.

 

The same as every year, the Government will submit for Parliament's approval the state, municipal, Social Insurance Fund and Compulsory Health Insurance Fund budgets.

 

Other draft laws deal with reduction of administrative burden on entities and facilitation of licence issuance; construction rules and licenses as well as simplification of environmental impact assessment procedures; average and long-term financing of Lithuanian airports' investments and activities, creation of legal conditions for airports' infrastructure and service development concession, ensuring smooth activities of the transportation sector company group (holding) that is being created.

 

The Government will also propose to consider draft laws concerning electronic voting in advance during parliamentary elections and referendums; laws that would promote smart electronic services and transfer collection and processing of tax payers' data, as well as provision of services, to the electronic space; laws on implementation of education, science, culture and health policies improving the quality and accessibility.
