BC, Tallinn, 15.07.2015.Print version
Opponents of refugees plan to organise a protest action on July 18th 2015 in Tallinn to demand a referendum on immigration issues, LETA/Delfi reports.

On Saturday starting 5 p.m., a protest action takes place in the Vabaduse Square in Tallinn entitled "Mothers and daughters for Estonia, fathers and sons protecting homes. No to mass immigration!"

The event and a large part of its organisers are from a controversial Facebook group "No to refugee masses." Several organizers of the event were among the motorcyclists who visited the Vao village on July 4.

However, the event organising committee includes several party members. Estonian People's Unity Party board members Kristiina Ojuland and Silver Kuusik, Free Party member Emil Rutiku arte helping to organise the event and it is advertised on the homepage of Estonian Conservative People's Party (EKRE).

EKRE board member Martin Helme told to Delfi that they do not participate in organising the protest with the party but plan to take part in as large numbers as possible.

In Facebook, over 1,400 people have noted they would attend the event.
