airBaltic sets up branch in Lithuania

Latvian airline Air Baltic Corporation (airBaltic) is establishing a branch in Lithuania. The company says it has to do with its plans to expand Lithuanian's global connectivity, informs LETA/BNS.
"This winter, the air company hopes to connect Vilnius with eight destinations through direct flights," the company told BNS.
airBaltic has recently announced plans to launch eight direct flights from Vilnius to Amsterdam, Berlin, Kiev, London, Munich, Oslo and Paris during the upcoming winter season. The company also plans to fly to more than 40 destinations from Riga.
The airline's new branch in Lithuania was registered on Tuesday, according to the Lithuanian Center of Registers, and is led by Yevgeny Kozyrev.
airBaltic posted a loss of 184.77 million euros in the first half of this year, and its turnover plunged 64% to 78.7 million euros.
